The world needs Tech Sales Pros. And there is a shortage.
On any given day, there are thousands of job openings for Tech Salespersons on LinkedIn and Indeed. As the tech industry grows, companies need more sales persons that can talk to customers, understand their needs, demonstrate software products and generate revenue. Tech sales is one of the best industries you can be in right now because the technology industry is constantly expanding. The global technology market is an astonishing $5 trillion today and is projected to grow 5-7% annually for the next decade. This not only means you have the potential to make a lot more money, but it also means there are more sales jobs available – especially in the U.S. The United States is the the largest tech market in the world.
If you have a BS degree (in any field) and have at least six months of sales experience (in any industry) and are looking to break into the lucrative Tech Sales industry, this is your opportunity to do it tuition free.
So what exactly does a Tech Sales Professional do?
Businesses rely on a complex tech stack of software products and services that allow them to run at peak performance. New software products need to be introduced to prospective companies so they become aware of the capabilities that can give them a competitive edge. However, business software is complex. Prospects often feel overwhelmed clarifying how software features will solve their problems, and whether one company’s solution is better for their needs than another’s. That is where you come in. The salesperson’s job is to clarify their needs and show them how to solve their problems.
Here’s what a day in the life of a Tech Sales Rep looks like:
- Create a list of prospects from tools like LinkedIn Professional and Zoominfo. Download contact information and import it into CRM.
- Use email/message templates and phone call scripts to reach out to new prospects. Set reminders for follow ups in CRM.
- Do follow up phone calls and emails to prospects from the previous days. Return voicemails and reply to emails in between.
- Set up appointments for Discovery meetings and product demonstrations.
- Conduct scheduled Discovery meetings and product demonstrations.
- Rinse and repeat to crush your sales quota!
Don’t understand all of this yet? Don’t worry. We will teach you all these techniques and more!
Learn Online. Learn by doing.
Our Tech Sales Program is a Live, In-person, Online class. You are required to log in during class hours, turn on your camera and actively participate in the class, just like an in-person class. Under the guidance of your instructor, you will read, learn, watch, question and practice real world selling skills. You will even perform mock sales discovery meetings and product demonstrations with your classmates. Your instructor will mentor and critique you to polish your selling skills. Our goal is to make sure you are ready to get hired and ready to contribute from the first day on the job!
